  • LOCATION + PARKING
    The Refinery's address is: 1640 Meeting Street Rd Charleston, SC 29405 ​ Parking is available along Meeting Street and adjacent streets. Please abide by all private and City of Charleston signage and be respectful of neighboring businesses when finding a place to park. The Refinery's gravel parking lot located on the north side of the venue is available to all ticket holders on a first come-first served basis. Rideshare Drop-off/Pickup is at available at 1627 Meeting Street, directly across the road from the venue.
  • TICKETING
    GENERAL ADMISSION Standing room/lawn seating only; ticket required for ages 2+; guests under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Blankets & towels to utilize the lawn space are permitted. Chairs are not allowed. THE PLATFORM - VIP 21+ only. Exclusive VIP bar access with premium drink options; second-floor rooftop access with bird's-eye view of the event; bar stools, lounge seating, picnic tables. *VIP area is accessible via exterior staircase only* NO RE-ENTRY. If you exit the event area you will not be allowed to return. All tickets are sold online (even at the door). The Refinery does not currently have a physical box office. We highly recommend purchasing your tickets in advance.
  • HEALTH + SAFETY
    Patron, artist, and staff safety are of the utmost importance. We do everything we can to make this a safe experience for every person. ​ If medical attention is needed while at The Refinery, please contact uniformed event staff personnel.
  • AMPHITHEATER HOURS
    On event days, The Refinery amphitheater will be closed the day of a scheduled event for sound checks and show operations. The Whale, Cleats, and Sweet Grass Lounge will operate as normal until 1 hour before doors. Occasionally, the amphitheater may be closed on a non-concert day for a private event being held on the campus. Gates generally open at 6 pm on the day of a scheduled event. Please check your ticket or the event details on our calendar to confirm the gate times for the event you plan to attend.
  • THE WHALE+SWEET GRASS LOUNGE EVENT HOURS
    On event days, The Whale & Sweet Grass Vodka will be open to the general public until 1 hour before doors open for events. During event hours, The Whale & Sweet Grass Vodka will be serving ticketed guests ONLY. The Whale & Sweet Grass Vodka will be closed to the general public during events. After the event, The Whale & Sweet Grass Vodka will resume normal operations and be open to event attendees as well as the general public.
  • WEATHER
    The Refinery is an outdoor venue and shows will be held in all elements of Charleston weather. All events are rain or shine. Please be prepared for a wide range of weather conditions. This may include full exposure to the sun, heat, and rain. We recommend that patrons bring rain gear and sunscreen. Event staff will monitor weather conditions and prioritize guest and staff safety. Check social media pages (Instagram and Facebook) for most up to date information regarding inclement weather. The Refinery reserves the right to cancel any event at any time for any reason.
  • RIDESHARE
    Using rideshare services is HIGHLY encouraged! On event days, rideshare vehicles will have a designated drop-off and pick-up location directly across Meeting Street Rd from the venue at 1627 Meeting Street. Please follow event signage for the rideshare drop-off and pick-up location.
  • PETS
    We love animals, but no pets (with the exception of service animals as defined by the ADA) will be allowed into the venue during ticketed events. Service animals are permitted and admitted; however, each service animal must be leashed and remain with its owner. Dogs are welcome at The Refinery during non-event hours as long as the dog is friendly and on a leash. Patrons are responsible for all behavior and waste cleanup.
  • LOST & FOUND
    Lost and found items can be retrieved at the event area entrance during event hours. After event hours, please email info@therefinerychs.com.
  • PERSONAL BELONGINGS
    ALLOWED: ​ Government-issued photo ID (required for entry) Clear bags - see full bag policy Blankets + towels Rain jacket Personal hand sanitizer Baby strollers Basic point-and-shoot cameras Sunscreen (non-aerosol container) Empty reusable water bottles ​ The Refinery event staff reserves the final decision on items brought into the venue. ​ NOT ALLOWED: Any bags that are NOT CLEAR - see full bag policy Illegal and illicit substances Outside food or drinks Pets (except service animals) Radios, video games, laser pointers Bullhorns, noise makers & musical instruments Chairs Weapons or fireworks Cigarettes, cigars, chewing tobacco, electronic cigarettes, vaping equipment Remote-controlled flying devices, drones, or UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicles) Confetti, glitter, and other items that can be thrown Glass containers of any kind Selfie sticks Skateboards, scooters, bicycles, wagons, carts, or any personal motorized vehicles
  • FOOD + DRINKS
    No outside food or beverages are allowed. ​Concessions will offer beer, wine & liquor. The Whale + Sweet Grass Vodka will be serving ticketed guests ONLY during event hours. Each event will have at least one food truck.
  • BAG POLICY
    ALL bags will be searched before entry. Upon arrival, please have your bags available for review. ALL BAGS MUST BE CLEAR except for small personal clutches approx. the size of a hand (no larger than 4.5″ x 6.5”). This is for the safety of all guests and staff. The only to exceptions to this rule are medical and diaper bags. ​
  • REFUNDS & CANCELLATIONS
    All ticket sales are final and non-refundable. All events are held rain or shine. In the case of extreme inclement weather, The Refinery will send out updates to all ticket buyers via email and post on social media (Instagram and Facebook)
